PLANET & PEOPLE
OUR COMMITMENT TO CHANGING THE WORLD DOESN’T STOP AT THE BREAKFAST TABLE
Our goal has always been to create a great tasting product, that’s healthy for bodies and minds, but we also want to create positive impact beyond our products. Here are just some of the ways we are creating lasting impact today.
COMMITTED TO SUSTAINABLE PACKING
We source and use compostable, biodegradable and plastic-free packaging as much as possible. We use only glass or metal lids which are 100% recyclable. Our cartons are also 100% recyclable and are made with minimal printing. And our inner packaging is made from compostable foam and biodegradable wrap.
Our 500g tubs are made from recycled ocean plastic, stopping more plastic accumulating in your oceans. Please continue to keep this plastic out of our waterways and ecosystems by recycling or reusing.
We substitute plastic packing tape for compostable kraft paper tape wherever possible. Unfortunately there are some instances where the current kraft paper tape is unsuitable, but we are always watching the space for improved alternatives.
TOWARDS ZERO WASTE
We want to leave the planet cleaner than we found it so we don’t waste anything and if there are any odd jars or rejects, we donate these to local food banks or charities so they don’t go in the bin.
We are working towards becoming a carbon neutral company, from production right through to shipping our products out the door. All our products are made in Australia in a solar-powered facility.
AUSSIEMITE BREAKFAST CLUB
Giving back to our community is important to us and we are passionate about doing everything we can to support the improvement of people’s health and wellbeing. Soon we will be launching our AussieMite Breakfast Club, a community initiative run in our local region to get people connecting over breakfast while learning tools and techniques for maintaining good health.
If you are a yoga or meditation teacher, please register your interest in delivering this initiative alongside AussieMite.
AussieMite acknowledges the traditional custodians of Australia, and honour their sacred connection to this land. We pay our respect to them, their cultures and traditions, and to the elders past and present.
